It’s Spring! This is an outfit post of sorts, but more of a show-and-tell, I suppose. I was so excited when my mom found me this lovely vintage red dress at an antique store, and when I put it on this morning it fit to a “t”. I love when that happens! It’s such a cheery dress with the cheerful flowers on the skirt, that I had to snap a few shots to share.
I admit I’m usually a bit too modest to go with spaghetti straps (unless it’s really hot outside), so for going about today I paired it with a modern short sleeve cardigan from Kohl’s that I got on super clearance. Here’s my vintage/modern look.
I also have to show and tell one of my latest thrifting finds. I love this kooky purse made out of old license plates. and I LOVE that it’s from Wyoming and has a cowboy on it! I’m hearing the call of the open road…

March 22, 2012 at 10:13 pm (12 years ago)Such a darling little dress! And that purse is adorable! I’ve seen some similar, but I think this one takes the cake because of the cowboy imagery.
I wish I could have worn an outfit like this to welcome spring…it’s been snowing in Oregon for the past few days, which is just crazy! Today I wore wool sailor pants and a sweater!

March 26, 2012 at 11:09 am (12 years ago)Adorable! You are very blessed to have weather warm enough to wear that sort of style right now – I just had snow at my house last week! But the glasses, purse, and dress are seriously cute!
Happy sewing,
Katrina
