Here are a few lovely pages from the John Wanamaker Mail Order Catalog from Fall and Winter 1918-1919. The first page say “Another Win-the War Catalog!” The end of war was promptly on its way. War ended on November 11, 1918. But the effects of war continued to be felt around the world.
I love the relative simplicity of the skirts, but with interesting details like pockets, belts, and buttons. It would be easy to add these bells and whistles to a skirt pattern to make it more fun and interesting.
