>In view of the holiday weekend I thought it might be fun to share a party idea. This is an excerpt from the book “Here’s for a Good Time” by Beatrice Plumb, from 1929. I just love these old books I’ve collected over the years and it’s such fun to share! If you put any of these suggestions to use please let me know how they go!
I did get a nice message from a lady asking about copyrights. All the things I post are, to my knowledge, in public domain. Luckily things are starting to get a bit easier regarding researching copyrights. In case you’re curious about something you own you can check your library for a catalog of copyright renewels or start with this site or this site, or contact the Copyright Office directly and they’ll do a search for you for a fee. That being said, if anyone running across this little blog finds I was mistaken something and is the owner of the copyright please contact me and I’ll remove it :)

And best to bring up these conversation starters on Labor Day, 1929, because it wouldn't be very long before the same dialogues would be awkward if not down right painful!Kate in Belgrade
