1940s Blouse and Skirt Video Tutorials

These videos were made in 2019 for the “Montana” 1940s blouse and skirt, but the tutorials are applicable for MANY vintage patterns! In fact, when I made the patterns I purposefully made them to be able to reference for other patterns!

These videos cover a number of techniques, including:

  • Setting a sports sleeve (straight sleeve with no gathers)
  • Sewing a patch pocket (with or without flat)
  • Sewing a collar onto a shirt
  • Sewing continuous lap for a sleeve cuff
  • Pleating a skirt using thread marking and topstitching
  • Sewing a side zipper

To navigate to the video of your choice, click on the little list icon on the right hand side of the video. It should show “1/13” underneath it. click on that, then select the video you wish to watch.

Happy Creating!
