Cork boards under fabric win. I cut all layers at once, and even with chiffon it didn’t make me want to tear my hair out (too much).

I just had a ton of tulles, satins, and chiffons sent out to me (Okinawa) to satisfy a little princess's Christmas wishes, so an easier way to cut my tricky, slippery fabrics would be so appreciated. Also, I am such a fan of your blog, though I rarely comment. I really enjoy seeing all of the catalog posts; I make retro-styled kids clothes, and pull a lot of detail inspiration from your pictures.

I'll have to share some kids pages in the future :)The top of the table is particle board and I had three cork boards with frames that I wasn't using so I removed the frames and nailed them all next to each other on the table top, then covered with a vintage table cloth and used a staple gun to secure it to the table. Eventually I want to cover the edge with eyelet and maybe a red ribbon running through… that would be cute :)Hope that helps! Fancy fabrics are so pretty but they're so fussy sometimes! I lined all the selvages up with the table edge, also, to keep them on grain.
