Suit-A-Long- 1910s Plain Collar Tutorial

This is an extremely tardy blog post for the 1916 suit jacket! I realized I never finished the tutorial for the plain collar, so here I am documenting on my blog an email I sent to help clarify construction in case of confusion for this alternate collar view. This is a very “rustic” tutorial. ;)

1- You need to first attach the plain collar to the front collar like this, matching from the edge to the dot (or close to it). AFTER your shoulder seams are already joined-

2- Then you pivot that and sew it to the back neck where the notches are.

3- After that is assembled, you face it with this facing piece. Sorry, toddler got in the photo.
