2018 Sewing Year in Review

It’s May and I’m finally remembering to share what I made in 2018!

A hooded jacket from a 1940’s Mrs Depew pattern.
A silk 1920’s Dress
Truly Victorian’s Late Edwardian Petticoat
A shadow embroidered Easter dress for my little girl from a Petite Poche pattern
And a pink floral Easter dress from my from modern Vintage Vogue pattern V9106

A 1920’s hat I can’t find a photo of and I’ve since sold…

A toddler renaissance dress. Pattern by me.
A quilt top I haven’t yet finished.
A crazy Natural Form era hoop using patterns from Frances Grimble. I may go back and modify this since I though it would be better if the hoops went all the way around and it really would have been better if they stopped at the sides, as originally designed.
A totally insane “pannier”, also from Frances Grimble, for my Natural Form ensemble.
My 18th century inspired Natural Form bodice and altered overskirt, which I have not successfully finished in entirety, but regardless of which, was worn to Costume College gala night in 2018 and which I have no decent pictures of. I want to revisit this one sometime this year, but first I’ve got to make a decent 1880s corset and re-fit the darn thing. It was a LOT of work and this was my big regret of the year.
1930’s beach pajamas with cape from a Lady Marlowe reprint of a vintage McCall pattern
A toddler kitty cat coat from a Twig and Tale pattern
A toddler jumpsuit from a modern McCall pattern
A 1910s suspender skirt which IS finished but I have no photos of
An 1860s Victorian girl’s dress for halloween from a Repeated Originals pattern.
Vintage toddler ski pants from a vintage pattern.
A vintage toddler Christmas dress from a vintage pattern and a pinafore from a modified modern Vintage Simplicity pattern.
An 1890s toddler dress from an antique Mode Illustree pattern
A 1940s dress inspired by Christmas in Connecticut

A sample for my circa 1917 Evelyn skirt pattern
A pattern sample for the WWI era canteen uniform pattern.
A pattern sample for the 1920’s Dolman Blouse pattern.

I think that’s actually all of my projects! WHEW! I did a LOT more sewing in 2018 than I realized!

Please be sure to credit me if you see these pics used anywhere. Thank you!

Wow – they are all amazing makes ! as well as the variety – an incredibly productive and busy year – the photo of your little girl with the solider in the back ground is super cute!

Thank you so much! I loved sewing that little red coat. I knew we had to get a photo with a guard :)

Wow!! What an amazing collection!! Your daughter is too cute in her costumes, lol.

I love to knit & crochet mainly but your costumes are inspiring me to dust off my sewing machine & make my own vintage outfits!
