New E-Pattern! 1940’s Apron

Hello!

4007EcoverWEB

My little 1940’s apron pattern has had a little uptick in popularity lately, so I decided to add this one as an e-pattern offering!  You can now buy it either as a mailed, printed pattern or as a print-at-home pattern.

This makes a fun weekend project.  Don’t forget, I have lots of great tutorials for this one, too!

You can buy the e-pattern here.

(psst… if anyone sees a mention of my little pattern, would you please let me know?  I’m interested in why it’s become so popular right now :) )

I never use aprons, but I find them so charming! Maybe it’s the mixture of form and function, who knows. You pattern is pretty cute, maybe that’s why? ;) Or the recent Sew for Victory?

Thanks, Jen! I’m glad! It’s been sitting and pretty neglected, so I’m glad some folks are discovering it. It’s a really fun one to sew.

My guess is Sew for Victory, since it is an easy project for a beginner, but I’m just guessing. I’ve not seen the pattern show up on the flickr group as one in the works, and none of the sewing blogs I read (many of whom are participating) have mentioned it as a possibility. But then sometimes people sew something up and post it after the fact–a fait accompli! Sorry can’t be more helpful! It is a super cute pattern. When my vintage apron wears out, I will get this one to make in its place!

That could very well be it! There is also a new “apron-o-logy” magazine out, so that could be helping, too :)
      Thank you!

Hi Lauren, I totally just bought this pattern and I’m very excited to use it…I’m reading it over and cutting it out today (it arrived in the mail yesterday, thank you!) and I’m so relieved that it’s so detailed and user friendly. I chose this pattern for my Sew for Victory project because like a lot of other users are commenting, I’m a really new beginner to using patterns! I think this is a great way for me to start…thanks for such a beautiful project! : )
