Oh my goodness, I am SO THANKFUL for your comments and feedback you have given me! I am still on a “learning curve” with these videos, but I am glad you seem to be enjoying them.
In this video, I talk about the new “Sophie” jacket pattern, as well as the 1880’s Dinner Bodice pattern I have online. You will see original period source material from the Victorian era, and learn a little about how I take this original material and put it together into my patterns. I hope you learn something new, and enjoy the video!

I have followed you blog for a couple years because I am very interested in Vintage fashion although I don’t sew much fashion for myself any more. I am painfully curious about the history of fashion and a recent trip to the V and A only piqued my sensibilities even more! Keep up the great work. Would you mind if I featured you and your work on a blog post in the near future? Many of my followers are essentially quilters but have been garment sewists in the past. In addition, some of us are Vintage in age and enjoy the trip down memory lane. Yes, I started sewing when only one pattern size was available per pattern, and I wore a size 6. Now that is Vintage!!!

What a happy and informative post. Really enjoyed learning about your pattern-making process, and loved the look into the Sophie instructions. I’d hesitated about that pattern, not knowing how detailed they might be. They’re super, and the sketches look really clear. The skill and time you put into these really shows.
The Sophie jacket is now on my wish list!
