The Etiquette of Good Grooming, 1940.

Today I’ve got a great page from the August 1940 issue of The Woman’s Home Companion.  This page gives a good peek back at etiquette of yesterday, complete with darling illustrations..  Today’s ladies might do well to keep it in mind, too, though I’m sure most of us are guilty of some of them!

Handy tips, all. And now I want a pinafore like the girl in the middle is wearing.

Apparently I’m not a nice girl! In my defence, it’s impossible to stop face powder from going in the air though.

Loving the “ticked off” expression on Fido’s face – although frankly, I think he should just put up with Madame filing her nails. Unless he wants his nails filed too ;)

Drat – you made me look at it, and now I like that pinafore too! *lol*

I don’t like when people comb their hair in public and over washbowls LOL! I am a nice girl! Thanks for sharing this, I am thoroughly amused :)
