A Summertime Pattern Sneak Peek!

Hi there!

In case you didn’t stop back in, on a recent post I asked about the next pattern and 1930s/1940s Summer wear won by a landslide!  Over 87% of those who responded said something along the lines of Summer wear. I admit, I was rather happy since I’ve been daydreaming of Summer wear that would fit in really well with all my current pattern offerings. I have to ask myself what I would want to make and wear… and you know what I long for the most when looking through old catalogs and fashion images?  Mix and match sportswear (especially circa 1938-1941), and I’m getting closer and closer to that goal :)

1006 Sneak Peek

This pattern is seriously flying by- and I’m actually really close to the goal- perhaps another week or two until it’s ready!  Here’s a sneak peek of the first sewn sample, above.  I think you’ll like it :)

I also wanted to let you know that there are some discounted patterns on my website now.  They have little flaws, but if you want a pattern for a bit cheaper than normal they’re all perfectly useable.  Check them out here.

And there’s been an image going around Facebook (find me on Facebook here), that I posted today and it reminds me how very thankful I am for each and every person who takes the time to comment, purchase my patterns, and share their images and reviews of things made.  Seriously, I am so very blessed.  I had no idea when I started this little small business and blog that there were so many people interested in vintage sewing.  I’m so thankful I can pour  research into old catalog and vintage images and patterns and make designs available and I’m constantly awed that people buy them!  Especially the patterns that have been my babies that I’m put so much effort into designing or reworking from old materials, such as the Smooth Sailing pattern and the Edwardian Blouse pattern.  You all have made such a difference in my life and my husband’s life through your patronage.  Thank you SO MUCH for supporting my small enterprise!

WOW, I can’t wait to see more! That is killer fabric. It looks like such fun!

One of my summer sewing goals is to finally sew from your Smooth Sailing pattern that I purchased last year. You may be thankful for us– but we are thankful for YOU pouring your heart into vintage sewing and sharing your depth and breadth of knowledge with us. :)
