>A Sunny Saturday in the Country

>

Today was such a beautiful day! I cannot believe that last weekend was cold and snowing in some local areas.  Today it was 80 degrees and sunny.
My husband and I went out to visit  my dad today, who has a hobby of making wine.  He’s making the coolest (literally) storage space for his barrels, so we went and poked around to see his current obsession.  I seriously marvel at what his brain comes up with.  It was such a fun afternoon, and I toted the camera along to take some snapshots.  The shot above is a view out to the horizon.  It’s like instant transport to Italy.
I wore one of the first dresses I ever made from a vintage pattern. It was from an early 40s pattern and is made of eyelet printed with a floral pattern with blue eyelet edging and vintage buttons.  All the supplies were thrifted or found at estate sales (other than the thread), and the shoes are Indigo by Clarks in a style called Gelato, which I wear to death.  My friend Addi made my hair flower.
Such a fun and relaxing day!

    >Looks like a nice time, I love the nature shots.I have those same shoes in red and I have worn them almost to death. I am so sad that I wasn't foresighted enough to pick up one in more than one color (or more than one to stash away!), I love them!

    >Thanks so much, gals!Brook, my dad lives in Fallbrook. :)Tasha, I totally wish I had bought more, too! I even had a chance to pick up another pair in my size at a thrift store that were unworn but didn't because I was particularly cheap that day. I'm kicking myself for it now!
