>My mom came down for a short visit yesterday afternoon and brought with her such a wonderful surprise! She had several magazines of French fashion from the late 40s and early 50s. Here’s a few of my favorites from one. It’s a quite unusual little catalog- looks like it was probably for patterns. It’s from Summer 1949. She said I picked it out at an antique store when I was nine years old! I guess my love for vintage goes back farther than I thought ;)
I especially want to make the dress above for myself someday. I always see fabulous charmeuse and chiffon prints and I never quite know what to do with them. When paired with a linen or shantung for the body I think it would be divine!
Just a quick heads up- I knew for a while I’d need to move from my design studio but now I finally have to (the new business owner in the building where I had my studio needs the space) so lots of my things will be coming home. I need to make room and consolidate so a lot of things will be going to Ebay in the next few months. As much as I love Etsy some things tend to sit for a long time and I just need them to move! After I get things sorted here I’ll post a link for the auctions. Of course I’ll keep listing things on Etsy when I get a chance, too- but I might be more sporadic in the next month and a half as I’ve got a lot of things on my plate so please bear with me :)

I loved the "B is for Betsy" books growing up, and only as an adult I realized they were written in the late 30's/early 40's. I don't think that's a coincidence – I never liked the Ramona books as much. Just too 70's for my 7-year-old taste!Sorry to hear you're losing your workshop space – hope you make lots of loot on Ebay! ;)
