One of my best girlfriends, Queenie, just came down to spend the week with me. We had a nice romp in the garment district with another of our best friends, Denise, and Queenie found the most delicious wool which she was determined to make a suit from. Since I have recently learned basic tailoring at work I told her I could pass on my new-found info to her. After nearly a whole week of work, off and on, here is her progress on the jacket which I have helped her with. This is from a mid 1930s Mccall belted back suit pattern. I’m so very proud of her sewing skills!
